About Dr. Sachse
Throughout his life, Brett Sachse, MD, has been committed to hard work and going the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcomes. At the Surgical Consultants of Northern Virginia in Reston, Virginia, Dr. Sachse applies this work ethic to performing expert surgeries to patients of all ages. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries from anti-reflux surgery to laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
Always an outstanding student, Dr. Sachse was admitted to medical school while still in high school through a unique program offered by Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and MCP Hahnemann University (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In just seven semesters, he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Wilkes University. He spent his final semester as a Guthrie Scholar, performing clinical research at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sachse joined the U.S. Army through the Health Professions Scholarship program during his senior year of college. After completing his Doctor of Medicine and his surgical residency at MCP Hahnemann University, he became active duty, serving his country by performing surgeries for service people, military contractors, and others at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia, and during two deployments to Iraq.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Saches enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.
